Manuka Honey Grade Standard
NPA (Non-Peroxide Activity)
NPA activity grade is used to describe the unique antibacterial activity of Manuka honey
MGO (methylglyoxal)
MGO is an internationally recognized standard for measuring the effectiveness of Manuka honey
UMF (Unique Manuka Factor)
UMF is an independent grading system which was invented in New Zealand by a trade-body called the Unique Manuka Factor Honey Association (UMFHA), which is different from the other two listed above, it contains more markers of Manuka honey and only issued by UMFHA for NZ manuka Honey.
